Getting the back button from the mouse in Mozilla on Linux

I have a Logitech Mouse with four buttons and a scrollwheel. In Windows, in both Internet Explorer and Mozilla, the middle button (except when clicked on a link, in which case Mozilla opens a new tab) comes up with an arrow thing where you can scroll just by moving the mouse, while the leftmost button on the side goes back. In linux however, the leftmost button also comes up with that scrolling arrow. Is there a way of going back with that button in Linux? I don''t know which specific mouse you have, but here''s what I have. I haven''t gotten around to trying it yet though. And for future reference, I Googled "mx700 linux." The first hit.

I get the same problem with the back button sometimes. There is a strange workaround for this, every time it happends, you need to unfocus the Mozilla window and focus it back. This usually happends when I have aterm open and I switch betwene the two.

I used this document to get everything working, but unfortunatly it looks like it is not responding atm. Google has a cache of it, but it is loading really, really, really slow. I put the text only version of it on my server.

EDIT: the document is for the Microsoft optical mouse, but it should also work with your mouse.
