Multimonitor stereo

Greetings all, I''m developing a graphic demo that renders stereoscopic scenes on several independent monitors. I tried to use windows multimonitor functions and extended my desctop on two displays. But the frame rated suddenly went down to several FPS. It was rather unusual on PIV-1800 with GeForce4(64Mb). Does anybody know how to render different output on several monitors without severe performance loss? (If it is possible with OpenGL). Thanks in advance, Decibit
