R.O.B.O.I. - ROBOI Obeys Basic Operational Instructions* * Geeky recursive name if anyone''s interested Hey everyone, I''ve had a cool game concept that''s been mulling in my head for the past five or so years. Anyways, I''ve built a concept demo with a link at the bottom if you''d like to try and play it. Basically you have have a robot (R.O.B.O.I.) with 16 microchip slots for memory. You have a small selection of chips that you place in memory which executes in consecutive order when you click the ''Execute'' button. There are multiple levels in ROBOI, some of which consist of grabbing a floppy disk, inserting it into the terminal, then exiting through the doors. Each level must be solved using the 16 slots. The chips available are: 1x Forward - Move forward once 3x Forward - Move forward three times 1x Backward - Move backward once 90 degrees clockwise - Turn 180 degrees counter-clockwise - Turn Pick Up - Self explanatory Use - Use whatever you''ve picked up on something ( and ) - Parentheses chips for storing loops :-D Well, I''ve got a playable concept demo for you to download if you want. I make most of my concepts in Dark Basic Pro because it''s what I need for quick and easy game development. If I get a good enough response I will rewrite it in C++ using DirectX. Thanks :-D - Jeku

Fun little game. The user interface could''ve been a little more intuitive, but other than that good job.

COOL! That was fun! Has the potentional to be an awesome puzzle game if you continue with it.

The only thing though was I couldnt figure out was if I could make him rotate anti-clockwise by 90' :S
