Genetic Algorithms Demos request
Hey all,
I am just wondering does anyone know any freeware genetic algorithms software /demos that can be unziped to demonstrate the concept of genetic algorithms. I am intending to use it for tutoring purposes so if anyone can guide me to any interactive/fun ga stuff out there that doesn''t require any compilation and programming language understanding and supports a windows environment that would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Khanage
Ps: i have tried google but most stuff requires linux, matlab or java.
Not that my demos are good or anything, but I do have 2 that may be acceptable for you.
Nutty AI
- Genetic Maze is purely GA based, and works from time to time. There's an odd problem where it may stop beforehand sometimes.
- Neural Collision is ½GA ½ANN.
I don't know of any other demos out there, other than fup's stuff at AI-Junkie. You'll be able to find a mine-sweeper demo that runs off ANN & GAs there, and some other neat demos.

I think

is worth a look.

Unziped? Strange request. I would be more interested in working ones.
If you would like to see excelent resource then google for Kent Paul Dolan. Of course it needs Java. (download on http://java.com)

I would be nice and give you some links.
This is THE best application that I seen in last half year (on teaching genetic algorithms)
