DirectShow and DVD

Can anyone tell me if I can play divx, xvid and dvd with direchshow6 (directmedia 6) tnx in advance

Yes, you can play all those using DirectShow. Directshow uses the codecs you have installed to build whatever graph you need to play a media. So you can play any media files you have the codecs installed. Windows does come with a few codecs, but things like divx, xvid, etc require you to download codecs from 3rd parties.

DVD is a little different than simply playing a media file i think, but there''s a section on DVD playing in the DirectX docs.
