Creating Texture from bytes stream?

Is there any way for me to create texture from my own bytes in Direct3D? It seems that MS just provided with methods to load form image files.

Assuming you're still using a standard image format, look up the method D3DXCreateTextureFromFileInMemory() in the SDK. You create a byte array and fill it with your data and use it in this function call. Don't you just love Microsoft?
