the question is, is it proper GLSL support or the silly hybrid type version which was in the last drivers which allowed Cg style casting and other things which arent in the spec.

Download the examples from www.delphi3d.net and see if they run un-modified, if they do then the support is technicaly still broken

The shaders in Toms'' demo are now updated to proper GLSL-syntax, so don''t assume a broken driver if they now work unmodified

Quite an interesting read.
I still can''t believe Mark Kilgards'' reply to the whole thing..

Shit, Marks reply is indeed quite shocking. Although I guess that he was simply annoyed at his GLSL implementation being called "deficient" (he is one of the main developers behind nvidias GLSL). I hope that his words do not reflect nvidias official stance on GLSL. Otherwise we would could just scrap the whole ARB alltogether, and call the extension NV_ARB_shading_language_xxx. That''s pure MS tactics.

Simon green relativated the whole thing a little, So I guess Mark was simply being a little defensive.

Read my reply at gl forum. (I didn''t think mark''s reply was shocking. Sounded normal to me).
