Hello, I''m currently reading through ''OpenGL Game Programming''- Hawkins/Astle. In Chapter 20 they give a simple game engine ''SimpEngine.'' I''m getting a compiler error: world.h : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: ''dmusicc.h'': No such file or directory I''m using Visual C++ 6.0 Has anyone used this code and come up with the the same error. I currently have DirectX 9 installed.

From the sound of it it sounds like your missing dmusicc.h. Is it included in ""''s or <>''s?

If in """" Your missing the file in your project, if in <> you need to add it do your msvs include directory.

I don''t think that the DX headers are installed with Visual Studio 6.0 by default. Download the DirectX SDK from www.microsoft.com/directx . But beware... The DX9 SDK has about 200MB :-)

There is another theory which states that this has already happened...
