Host Migration with Dplay Question

Hi, im developing a game that uses p2p Dplay. So, here is my question. If a peer send a packet direct to the host, and the host must transmit it to the other players (like client/server), so, when the client already send the packet the host lost connection, and "Host Migration" happen. How directplay solve it? or may it be: does dPlay solve it? to generalize the question: How directplay deal with the packet being send when the host lost connection and host migration is needed, and what happen during the transition period with the packet that are to be sended? many thanks..!!
