Ok, Ive started to read through the first D3D tutorial on www.UltimateGameProgramming.com... However, when I attempt to compile - with the correct libs and include directory added - in DevC++ I recieve a large amount of errors from the d3dx9.h file. The following errors are repeated over and over again throughout the logfile:
C:\DEV-C_~1\INCLUDE\unknwn.h:23: `com_interface'' only supported with -fvtable-thunks
C:\DEV-C_~1\INCLUDE\unknwn.h:23: warning: `com_interface'' attribute directive ignored
Would anyone know why this is? I cant seem to figure out why the errors are being caused...

Well my first instinct would be listen to the error message and use the -fvtable-thunks compiler flag.
