Bones and Mdl

i''m just starting models and animation and i''m trying to make sence of blizzard''s mdl file format I want to know how their animations work, they have bones and in realtime how do you use these bones to transform the triangles and what are the values for and the number in front: Bone "Bone Root" { ObjectId 1, GeosetId 1, GeosetAnimId None, Translation 41 { Hermite, 333: { 0, 0, 0 }, InTan { 0, 0, -0.370799 }, OutTan { 0, 0, -2.9603 }, 967: { 0, 0, -2.72006 }, InTan { 0, 0, -1.38049 }, OutTan { 0, 0, 1.44838 }, 1667: { 0, 0, 0 }, InTan { 0, 0, 2.96932 }, OutTan { 0, 0, 0.36795 }, 2100: { 0, 0, 0 }, InTan { 0, 0, -0.370799 }, OutTan { 0, 0, -2.9603 }, . . . and so on. what is intan and outtan?
