I thought I''d split this off into a new thread as the other one has degraded into a modelling conversation...anyways. I agree the next competition should be a game, but unlike others I don''t think their should be an unreaslistic deadline, i.e. 3 weeks, to allow newer GL programmers to come up with something. It shouldn''t matter which platform you use; somebody on the other thread mentioned it should be windaz, well, I don''t use it and never will, but I could provide windaz binaries as well as Linux. It shouldn''t matter which language is being used either and it shouldn''t really matter if the source is not available either, although this does limit who can play the game. But then, this is true if you develop for specific extensions and don''t provide a fallback, so... I think the only real limitation is to give a number of different types of game, and let the programmers then decide which to implement in their own way. It shouldn''t matter if the graphics are crap, it''s the game, the ideas that are important. Luke.
