Static Lib Needs other Libs
Hi, I''m compilling a static library that needs other libraries. I''m using VC++ 6.0 on Windows XP. When I create the static lib project, there is no place to tell the compiler that I want to link with these extra libs, or is there? How do I do this? Where? I''ve looked throught the project properties, but could not find the place where I usually include the lib in an .exe program.
Thanks for any help,
Denny.
lib files do not go through the linker. They can simply be described as container of obj files.
So just make sure you have all the proper libs when you link your final application and everything will compile.

ok, but when I build the final application, the linker says that mylib.lib has some "undefined external references". There are errors and I can''t link the whole program. And the errors point to functions that are in the other libs. I am linking with the other libs in my final application though.
