Hi. My terrain engine uses VBO''s for drawing the terrain geometry. Before this, drawing was done with glBegin()...glEnd(). I updated vertex colors according to a light source and time every frame. I''m wondering how I can accomplish this with VBO''s that will cause the smallest frame rate drop. Thanks in advance.

1) provide a color array per vertex to go with the vertex position data and use the glColorpointer() function
2) if possible update the vertex color in a vertex program, provide it with the light color and time and work out the resulting vertex color from that
