Hi, is there any whay of doing precalculated bump mapping in software? I consider to use it for static lighting in indoor scenes. Is that possible? I have the decal texture and the normal map loaded and use my point lights to calculate the final texture colors... is this possible even with radiosity? thanks Gammastrahler

You should look for the recent thread about the Source Half Life 2 engine. It does something called Normal-Mapped Radiosity. I think the general concensus was that although the technique isn''t very technically correct, it is a very nice-looking approximation/hack.
