Hi to everyone. I''m trying to make a small game for autistic kids and as I''m trying to learn DirectInput I thought I''d use it for the game. The game should be really simple like having 6 balls on screen and the child using a smaller ball as a cursor selects one of the others. The thing is the children will be using a touch-screen probably. Using the mouse DirectInput sends relative coordinates. I''ve tried setting the device to absolute coordinates but could not make it work. Still, there is no reference point defined as I read in the DX9 documentation so it''s kind of weird. Is there a way to get window coordinates from the mouse? (Avoiding any Win32 Platform calls if possible) If any of you have any experience with glut then this is exactly what I want only I want to do it using directx, have the mouse coordinates reported to me relative to the window. Thanks in advance.
