D3DXLoadMesh loads always same file?!

Hi all, as stupid as it may sound, until now i had, e.g.: D3DXLoadMeshFromX("./data/dude.x", ...) and now i load: D3DXLoadMeshFromX("./data/models/dude_stand.x", ...) and it still loads the old file. when i rename/delete it, the program fails, i can overwrite it with a different model (named dude.x) which will load fine...so its not some memory not getting deleted. i really don't know what the hell is going on, please help me out, thx. *** EDIT *** problem solved by deleting the debug folder and rebuilding...very strange.
