I want to learn AI for game development. I currently know C,C++,Haskell(Functional) All of which in UNIX I have a comfortable undertsnading of State Machines and Datat structures. So where do I go? I looked at the AI forum but there seems no beginning level there... N e help The Bear lets you rise before he strikes you down.

There are a few good sites out there.

Ummmmm...
Try generation5.org (.net maybe)
Also, the AI Depot. Just search for it.

I would use C++ in writing it, despite Haskell''s quick-writing features. Haskell is slow, I''ve found.(Unless I didn''t read about where I can optimize into loops...)

GameAI.com is a great place to go to find links and articles on many different game AI topics.

Of course, you should go to the AI forum first.
