Need help with a system call on C++

Hi. I''m just wondering if there is a way to call an executable in c++ show it for 5 seconds and then close it. This a part of the code system("prog1.exe"); sleep(5000); //I would like to close it I''m trying to use ShellExecute(...) but when compiling it says ShellExecute undeclare identyfier. Can anybody explain how can i do what it want to do. Thanks in advance
