[java] Java optimizers

Is there any good optimizing tool for java? I need a tool that check the speed on all my methods so I know where I should optimize.. Hans-Petter

The Java VM has a profiler built-in, you just need to launch your app with the right command args to enable it. Full details are in the SDK docs, but you basically need something like:
-Xrunhprof:cpu=samples,file="C:\Profile.txt"

However the output it produces is somewhat difficult to read manually. Grab yourself something like HPJMeter (free, google it) and it''ll produce graphs and such from the output.

Another reasonably easy cmd line switch is -Xprof, which dumps thread CPU time out to stdout.
