Kick Start Managed Direct X 9 by Tom Miller, Chap 3 error

Hi, i got the Kick Start Managed Direct X 9 by Tom Miller and i have been working through the tutorials until i cam to chaper 3 and i got an error, at first i tought it was just my crap coding but i get the same error from the code from the cd. Anybody had the same trouble or can tell me whats going wrong. Error: An unhandled exception of type ''Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.InvalidCallException'' occurred in microsoft.directx.direct3d.dll Additional information: Error in the application. Line: tex = new Texture(device, new Bitmap(this.GetType(), "puck.bmp"), Usage.Dynamic, Pool.Default); Thanks for any help, -Dave

It''s not an error in the book I think, invalid call means you are using arguments that don''t go well together. I think Dynamic and Default don''t go together. Try Pool.Managed or Usage.None.

Or the texture format you are trying to create isn''t supported.
