im currently using directx 8.1. can anyone give me help on resizing the back buffer when my window is resized? i want to stop directx from squishing everything when the window is resized. instead, i''d like it to behave like most windows and keep everything the same size when the window is resized. is resizing the back buffer even the right thing to do? thanks

To resize the backbuffer, use device->Reset. It takes present parameters, so you can store the ones you used to create the device and just tweak the size.

NOTE:When resetting the device all non-Managed resources need to be recreated.
