The standard c++ libraries have many string manipulation functions.

Have you ever checked them?

Or std::string in the standard template library (STL)?

Try MSDN ..

To fully master string manipulation in C++ you should know the complete contents of the string, cstring, and cctype headers, as well as most of the cstdlib, locale and algorithm headers. The sstream header wouldn''t hurt either.
