.x Meshes, how to get list of vertices?

Hi, in my game i load models up, and i need to know what all the mesh vertex positions. How would i do this? would i some how get it from the mesh class or what? Thanks, btw i am using similar code to the sdk mesh tutorial to load the meshes

ID3DXMesh inherits from ID3DXBaseMesh.

You can find examples of locking the vertex buffer of a .x mesh in the DirectX SDK samples (try a "find in files" with "LockVertexBuffer").
