I am pretty good at painting skins for models I make in 3ds, but I still need some improvement. My main improvement is needed in painting peoples muscles. Does anyone know a really good book for game textures and skins design in photoshop or a really good tutorial site? I have tons of sites bookmarked, but they really dont go into as much explanation and guidance as I would like. Thanks

Game Art for Teens, by Less Pardew, published by Premier Press.
Creating the Art of the Game, by Matthew Omernick, published by New Riders.
3D Modeling, Texturing & Animation for games, by ME, published by Premier Press (out in September).

Also, there''s a number of online tutorials on this very subject; just do a search on google.

Thank you so much. I have looked on google a whole lot, but it just seems the tutorials arent in depth enough. I will definitely look at the books you recommend. The one coming out in september sounds really cool too

Ben Mathis website has a rather cool collection of tutorials. I didnt bother looking at the video ones, but honestly some of his models are really nice. And since he shows you what the skins look like, maybe you might be inspired ?
Enjoy !
