point size for point sprites
Whats the deal with the point size of point sprites.
My d3dcaps viwer says that my hardware supports point sizes of greater then 8000 (dont remember exact number). Now if i make the device with HARDWARE_VERTEXPROCESSING then all my point sprites are a single pixel big. But if I create the device with SOFTWARE_VERTEXPROCESSING, then all works correctly.
Whats the deal?
What size are you making the sprites? It sounds like something I had happening no my card. After I downloaded the latest drivers, it fixed it.

Some graphics cards aren''t very good with point sizes or point scaling. It sounds to me like your problem is almost certainly graphics card related.

Im making the sprites anywhere between 10 and 60. And I''ve got the latest drivers off of nvidia.

Well that sucks... Any idea about a gforce 4 Ti 4200? This problem is happening on that card. Havent checked it with any other card.
Any nVidia guys around these forums that would know about this?
