Hello, I'm involved in a private fantasy sports league and wanted to have a live draft this year. I'd like the draft to take place on aim or MSN messenger. I would also to make am IM Robot to assist with the draft. My question is, how do I make IM Robots or where can I find info on making robots? Also, how long will it take me to learn what ever it is I need to learn to create these bots? Keep in mind that I do have SOME programming experience but I am extremely out of practice. I''d recomend taking a look at GAIM. It''s an open source IM client that can handle ICQ, AIM and MSN. The reason you may want to use it is it has a plugin system and you could write your bot as a GAIM plugin which means you can concentrate on the bots functionality as opposed to getting it to communicate with the major IM networks.
