Drawing LPD3DXSPRITE outside of main class

I''ve been trying to setup an image class to keep track of animations and frames etc. with a LPDIRECT3DTEXTURE9 and a LPD3DXSPRITE. I can get the class to return the sprite and texture and then draw it in the main file that I have though I can''t get it to draw to the screen in its own class file. I''m attempting to draw the sprite between a BeginScene() and EndScene(). Any suggestions for what I have to do so I don''t have to draw from the main class?

What I do is setup a pointer to my D3D interface in the sprite''s constructor. Then, I can use that interface in all of my sprite drawing.
