I''m new to VB and was working with it one day and wanted to use the winsock component, but I noticed that it isn''t avaliable for the version I''m using. I was wondering if there is any other way around this?

It might help if you mentioned what version you are using.
Just the working model
There are 7 versions of Visual Basic on the market, so the working model doesn''t help much

Nervo - shhhush.

Marcules - Find out the Version Number. It''ll probably be in the About box. Go Help->About.
Marcules: Since you don''t really seem very interested in clarifying your question and this thread took a little bit of a turn for the worst, I''m going to go ahead and close it.

Please feel free to start another thread with your rephrased question.

Thanks.
