Heh I recognise that picture of the pirate and the ooga-booga man chasing the kid from the pixilation forums.

Your engine is looking promising. Maybe brighten it up though!

Yes... I take care of the two aspects of the project: pixel art and j2me programming!

It''s nice you remember me!

Hi, I just played the demo.

First off I must say I'm surprised you havn't got more feedback (unless you only just posted, I didn't check the times), I thought the demo was very good and smooth -- better then I expected.

There are two pretty major issues I think need to be fixed though.

The movement animation, and moving if you use your keyboard, is insanely fast, so I am assuming the game-speed is simply however fast the computer running it is. Yeah on a mobile this would be much slower, but it's still not a good idea.

This incomplete book draft gives a very indepth example on how to fix this issue in chapter 1. http://fivedots.coe.psu.ac.th/~ad/jg/.

Second, when you push a direction button on the emulator you only move once, but if you use your keyboard keys you of course move continuously. Perhaps there needs to be some consistancy to how fast you can move, which can probly be solved the same time as the above issue.

Keep up the good work.

Very cool! Too bad the screens on most J2ME devices are so small you can't work in very much in the way of stellar art.

But good work. How well does it perform?
