Hi all. Probably a really dim question...but that''s why I''m here ;-) I have created a 3D geometry which works fine, now I''m adding an HUD type text display. The problem I get is when the text is diplayed on screen it still takes on the lighting and shade of the 3D world rather than appear as a clear block colour. How do I amend this? I''m guessing at turning of the the lighting in some way before writing the text... Many thanks

like you should remember, opengl is a statemachine... push the states on the stack, disable everything you dont need, render your 2d, and then pop it again...

addition: i aply my "tuh dee", after the rasterisation (when everything is rendered), directly to the backbuffer, and then i flip it.
