Can anyone throw in their views on getting into games programming as a career? I am finishing a PhD in CFD, programming in C++ yadda yadda yadda... but I really want to get into computer game programming. What''s my best move? What is a games programming company looking for? I''m not looking for shortcuts into the business, just some good solid advice. Cheers PS. Sending application forms is a given... you don''t win the lottery without buying a ticket ;-) u6ik

Start with a CFD-based demo that blows everybody away. Offer employers something that nobody else can.
