Im working in a language called DarkBasic Pro. Great little language, similar syntax to Basic but it has built in DirectX functions to load and render 3d, 2d, ect... Anyway, DBP also supports fx shaders, and im trying to build myself a solid foundation about them. Ive downloaded the Nvidia Fx Composer, and ive gotten a few fx''s to work inside DBP. Now I want to learn how to write my own, and why they do what they do. So, can anyone point me to some nice sites? Specifically id like to learn a little bit more about matrixes (what exactly are they and how/why are they used). Also it would be nice if there is a simple tutorial/guide that walks you through the process of writing a REALLY basic pixel/vertex shader. Thanks in advance for any advice
