I get an unhandled exception in the _tidy method when a vector is being destroyed. I used push_back to add a string, assuming that the vector will be destoyed by the system and no explicit clean up is required, this exception I dont quite understand. How can I explictly delete a vector?

you aren't creating the vector dynamically with the 'new' keyword correct? That really is the only reason I can think of as to why one should need to deallocate one manually. Otherwise, your problem might be something else.

What was the unhandled exception? Were you running in the debugger? If so, what was the stack like?
