Okay, well I forgot my screenshot; will post it later. What''s the texture blending state for alpha blending called? >_< this would be easier if I had the screen to show... So I have two textures, A & B. one of them is the main texture, the other contains all of the alpha values. I''ve been scouring the SDK and haven''t been able to figure it out yet. $64 question: Name that blending state! (actually, some code would help too, but I can always go back to the SDK once I have the state name)
Yes... VB6 is here to steal your minds fps. Very slowly.

D3DTOP_BLENDTEXTUREALPHA ?

Or if you mean how do you have the alpha in a separate texture, then there isn''t a special state for that - you just keep the component active in the pipeline, e.g.:

s0 color = SELECTARG1, ARG1=TEX1
s0 alpha = SELECTARG1, ARG1=TEX1 // anything - keep s0.a open
s1 color = SELECTARG1, ARG1=CURRENT
s1 alpha = SELECTARG1, ARG1=TEX2 // overwrites s0.a

This is a screenshot of what I''m attempting to achieve:

But I think you nailed it there. I''ll do some more work on it tonight, thanks.

It think it is a tree (or something)... Maybe the leaves are a bit too transparent... Kudos for using Milkshape3D though(that is what it looks like at least)... Go Shareware!!!

>_<

I never said I was an artist. And Guapo got it dead on - a tree with Milkshape. But I paid for my version because the shareware expired long ago and I don''t feel like pecking through my registry.
