Texture lod SGIS

Hi; I need to specify a mip level to use, but when i call glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_TEXTURE_MAX_LOD_SGIS,max); glTexParameteri(GL_TEXTURE_2D, GL_TEXTURE_MIN_LOD_SGIS,min); with max != 1000 (default) and min !=-1000 (default), the program crashes...i checked for "SGIS_texture_lod", and i got it, im using an ATI 9600...in nvidia it works fine, with both min and max set to 0 or 1 ( i think it means that im using the original resolution,0, and the half one, 1) What is the problem?
