How to convert 3d points to 2d points?

A more complete answer:

transformmat = worldmat * viewmat * projmat
clippoint = vertex * transformmat
clippoint *= 1/clipoint.w

Now, clippoint is visible if the following are true.

x between -1 and 1
y between -1 and 1
z between 0 and 1

Actual pixel x,y position requires transforming these points by the viewport position and size. The z value goes into the Z buffer.
