isolated square, the same color as my tiles. | ++v++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++O++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++OOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
the game just carries on, without stopping.
In that case you want to pick another color so the computer can pick the current color you have to finish the game I would think...
fartocci is right, according to the rules of the game, you aren''t allowed to be the same color as the opponent...meaning the A.I> Will never change to the player''s color on any successive turn.
It will only capture that last tile when you relenquish your color.
As far as A.I. Weakness, I made it kinda weak to begin with, so you can get in the habbit of winning, but if you win 6+ games in a row, the A.I. becomes obstinant.
I''ll submit a change to where the A.I gets harder with every successive win right now. Try this latest update and if you still think it is too weak, email me your theory on why. Maybe theirs credit in it for you if you can come up with something harder.
I might just say it, it''s quite obvious, and not a big deal. Should be easy to fix.
The easiest way I could beat the AI was to deny them their best colour, if it was still slightly advantageous for me. I did noticed that sometimes the AI did the same, by chance, or by design, I don''t know, but it was stil pretty erratic.
Are you doing stuff like in chess games, looking ahead trying several combinations of moves from the AI and the player, selecting the most advantageous one? That would make it very hard though, if the AI looked ahead, say, to 5 moves.
maybe you do that already, but I''d probably try to increase the difficulty curve more.
having obstacles would be cool, like a very opened maze. then you could cut the AI patterns across.
Hi, I just wanted to congratualte you on such a great game. I haven''t tried multiplayer yet, but the game emchanics and design ar very good and original! I think you may want to consider makiing it fullscreen and make it flashy with bell & whisels, but, hey, it''s a wonderful game! Nice job

Thanks for the comment. However, The game isn''t Original. I am toying with the idea of making the game shine with sound and bells/whistles and such, but I would wind up selling that version.
Personally, I like the game the way it is now. If you''re going to be adding "bells and whistles" just don''t over do it too much. By the way, when playing a multiplayer game, the chat box still scrolls up to the top when a new game is started. Just thought I''d pass that on.
