Hey, I had earlier managed to run a Flash app in a DirectX window, i found that the program ran much faster and since we can change resolution in DirectX, i figured that the actual rendering time would be much less, so since programming in Flash is extremely easy, but the only draw back is that flash is independent of the Windows APi, it becomes slow, but using directX alongside flash, we could create amazing games, (we could even find a way to run flash app''s as textures on surfaces, makeing programming much simpler task), so can anyone use directX drawing api commands to render flash, then this would surely be a breakthrough in the game world as this would be the first time it was done, i reckon it would lead to the developement of a whole new engine, so please give this a second thought, and REMEMBER, in this world, WE HAVE TO BE THE FISHERMAN OR BE THE FISH

Take a look at gameswf:

http://www.tulrich.com/geekstuff/gameswf.html

It''s a parser / player for shockwave flash files that uses openGL for rendering.

Hey Sphet,
thanks a lot for the link, I used it but since i develope using Flash 7(MX 2004), it has pretty large number of bugs, i am developed something like this, but using DirectX, but I am not satisfied with the results, i want to create special effects in flash using D3d code, and run them as an EXE, that ought to make game making easier and the game better lookin''

For now i am upgradeing it

Hey skalco6,
thanks a lot, that site insanelogics.com was amazing, but you can''t run coded flash programs as a texture, what stealth matter does, is run animations and also run simple coded flash app''s as a texture, but if it actually did run fully coded flash app''s as a texture, then we could make a game run inside a game, and that''s what i actually meant, but anyways, stealth matter is really usefull, man, cool site too! and thanks again, and if you ever develope or find someone who developed something which can run full fledged coded flash app''s , please tell me,

PS: when i refer to the word ''full fledged'' i mean flash app''s that use XML and interact with ASP pages, and have all the powers of flash, and one more favor, can you tell me which is better, OpenGL or DirectX,

and once again, thanks a lot, skalco6
