Now I want to estiamte color distribution in a color image. But I don''t know how to compute a histogram in RGB space with 8*8*8 bins. The image is stored in three-dimensational matrix. How can it be programed in matlab language? Your help is appreciated.

For indexed images you can use the imhist function as is. For RGB images use it once for each component.

There''s no place like 127.0.0.1

unsigned redCount[256];
unsigned greenCount[256];
unsigned blueCount[256];

for all pixels
redCount[pixel.r]++;
greenCount[pixel.g]++;
blueCount[pixel.b]++;
loop

That wasn''t Matlab, but this really is trival in any language (well, not Brainfuck perhaps).
