Hi, I''m programming in Visual C++ and would like to open an html file in the default internet browser from my program. Is there a single windows function that can do this? There seems to be one for every other Windows related task I''ve wanted to do, but I can''t seem to find what I''m looking for. Using the _exec function works if I just pass in the HTML file''s filename as the argument, but I don''t really like that solution. Any hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

What is wrong with that function?

Would you rather search the registry to see which browser is the default one and then find the path to it, and then open it and make it load the web page?

Thanks guys. ShellExecute works great. In regards to the previous post, _exec would show a flash of the console window before opening the page in the web browser. It''s not a big deal, but I wanted it to be seamless.
