2D Object Placement

I have a problem: In OpenGL, say I wanted to draw a line from (0, 0) to (x, y) on the screen. One way I could do this is with gluOrtho2D, which has -1.0 as the left/top of the screen and 1.0 as the bottom/right. However, I would like to draw in screen coordinates, like: glVertex2f( 0, 0 ); glVertex2f( 320, 240 ); Line from (0, 0) to (320, 240) on the screen. Is there a way to do this?

Just pass the right parameters to gluOrtho2D, i.e.:
gluOrtho2D(0, screenWidth, 0, screenHeight);
