Hi with nehe's first tutorial with this code below, it hides some icons and hides my mouse. Thats after ive run fullscreen mode and quit the program. Anyone know whats with this? I am using a laptop by the way if that has anything to do with anything. its the bottom line 'ChangeDisplaySettings' method, the rest is setting it up
DEVMODE dmScreenSettings; // Device Mode

memset(&dmScreenSettings,0,sizeof(dmScreenSettings));	// Makes Sure Memory's Cleared

dmScreenSettings.dmSize=sizeof(dmScreenSettings); // Size Of The Devmode Structure

dmScreenSettings.dmPelsWidth	= width; // Selected Screen Width = 640

dmScreenSettings.dmPelsHeight	= height; // Selected Screen Height = 480

dmScreenSettings.dmBitsPerPel	= bits;	// Selected Bits Per Pixel = 16

///////this line below

if (ChangeDisplaySettings(&dmScreenSettings,CDS_FULLSCREEN)!=DISP_CHANGE_SUCCESSFUL)
thanks [edited by - johnnyBravo on June 10, 2004 4:17:54 AM] [edited by - johnnyBravo on June 10, 2004 4:18:24 AM] [edited by - johnnyBravo on June 10, 2004 4:19:19 AM]

Hmm, I''m not sure this is the issue, but I know you have to explicitly set showCursor() to true to get the mouse pointer back. Otrher than that, I belive he uses a popup-window mode, and I remeber that it caused some trouble on my double-screen setup.

You could perhaps try some other window modes for fullscreen?
