far objects problem

When I made a simple program that draws a cube and implements glTranslate in order to move to/from the cube, strange bug happens: when I move away from the cube, it is becoming smaller and smaller as expected. But instead of becoming a single point when far away enough, at some distance it suddenly disappears - its current size at this distance is e.g. 40-50 display pixels. I''ve tryed other object, with/without textures, lines, triangles - the same. Can anyone help, please? Nik.

Sounds like your object is moving past the far clipping plane. When you setup your frustum you would specifify the near and far clipping planes. Make sure you aren't moving your object (or camera) further than your clipping planes allow for visibility.
