hi, i am doing my CS project in c# which requires capturing video frames. process them and then again merge them to create the video. But when looking for directshow i realized that it does exist for C#. i downloaded the DX 9.0 sdk about 1 year ago. i want to know that if the new versions of DX contain directshow sdk for C# as well or not. thanx alot bye.

managed directx only contains a simple movie playback class called Video in the DirectX.AudioVideoPlayback namespace, i guess your only way to use direct show with c# would be to write a wrapper around it

DirectShow is being phased out of the SDK. In Summer Update 2004, it will be completely removed from both the umanaged and managed docs. IIRC, it is planned to be included in a new ''Media'' SDK. Also, it will probably be incorporated into XNA.
