When making a screensaver that utilises opengl I have come across a strange error. It seems to be possible to make a working .scr from the gcc with mingw32(mostly) libs. The exact same code changed to texture map as laid out in nehe tutorials, works when clicked and is seen as a screensaver by windows. When you come to trying to activate the texturemapped version from the screensaver dialog box I get an invalid page fault in msvcrt.dll. Is this something to do with the compiler , I have tried cygnus and the same problems. Second thing. How do you set up opengl/mesagl in linux(Mandrake 7.1, Voodoo 3 w/tv-out, Athlon 600mhz cpu). Would there be a good tutorial out there or what? visit http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu Your voice is like a shining stone , my ears the sand drenched sea.
