Porting GLUT

Does anyone know where i can find tutorails on porting glut to openGL becuase i am useing ROAM and the tutorails i have for makeing roam terrain uses Glut and i don''t want to use Glut.

As far as I know GLUT is basically to create the windows and to make it eaier to get a program set up without having to worry about the OS API ( win32 for example ).

whats wrong with glut,no offence but youre obviously a begiiner and its great to learn with
btw anyone written a better program than this


comes with the source code it uses glut

(just thought ild add a picture to show whats possible with glut and it runs nearly as quick as q3 as well
