Ok, if anyone has any information on doing sprites (small things i guess like little bullets and stuff) for a 2d game in assembly, please post it here. I''ve heard a little about compiling sprites into a seperate assembly file that is included with the source that will draw the pixels to the screen without testing each pixel for transparency. This method seems like it would be faster since the byte transfers are only taking place and not the tests of the object. Oh well, send what you got please, I don''t care what video mode, I''ll just convert it to what I''ll use.

The Allegro game library does just that, and does it well. You can download it and check the source code.

Look up an author called Mickey Kawick at Amazon.
While his book has heaps of bugs in it he has some source code that does exactly that.
