Whenever my mouse changes cursor (ex when I drag it over a textbox in another window) my whole system goes down to it knees. Everything except my directdraw application stands still which is running as nothing happend. If I hide the mouse even my ddraw application fucks upp. I don´t use the mouse for anything not even recives the messages for it. Sounds lika a memory leak? Well I made a memory manager to check it and couldn´t find any On top of all everything worked perfectly until 2days ago, so I created a new workspace without the "new" code and the only thing I do is clear the backbuffer, blit a image to it and flip to primary. The program runs correctly except for the f*cking mouse problem. Does anyone have a suggestion about what to try? (doesn´t matter if it works or not, I´m running out of ideas to try)

If you''ve been using the mouse cursors that windows provides, I''d try hiding the cursor, and drawing your own mouse cursor through DDraw, and drawing this cursor at the mouse coordinates. If this is what you''ve already been doing, then I don''t know.

Sounds like somebody''s processing an OnMouseMove and not handling it well. I assume you would have noticed if it was one particular application? Have you tried checking your mouse settings in control panel to see if it''s set to do something ''helpful'' when your mouse is hovering? Sorry I can''t be more help. That''s the only things I can think of right now.

information is the illusion of knowledge
