easy loading bitmaps help

Im reading a tutorial about loading bitmaps into your memory to blit to a surface the function prototype is like this IDirectDrawSurface *DDLoadBitmap(IDirectDraw *pdd,LPCSTR szBitmap); Is *pdd just the name of the bitmap? and what is szBitMap?? if you want to see the tutorial Im looking at its at www.gamdev.net/reference/articles/article608.asp also when Im putting in the name of the bitmap do I just put the name like bitmap.bmp or "bitmap.bmp" ??? please help

pdd is your DirectDraw object (lpDD or whatever you call it) szBitMap is the name of the bitmap you''re loading, you would call it like this:

LPDIRECTDRAW7 lpDD; // a DirectDraw 7 object
LPDIRECTDRAWSURFACE7 lpDDSbitmap; // A DirectX 7 surface
lpDDSbitmap=DDLoadBitmap(lpDD, "bitmap.bmp");
// do whatever
